Community

Local businesses are an important thread in the tapestry that is a local community. But businesses alone don’t make our vibrant city all that it is. Each quarter Surcee focuses on making an impact in the beautiful city we call home. By helping those in need, supporting local organizations, or drawing attention to important causes Surcee not only wants to keep shopping dollars in the Upstate, but continue to help it and its residents thrive.

Check out our latest or planned initiatives. And thank you to all of our participating partners and organizations for making these meaningful events possible.

International Women’s Day 2024

EmpowerHER

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality. Surcee and Jasmine Road  tapped into the vibrant community of Greenville’s local businesses and shoppers to benefit South Carolina’s first two-year residential program for adult women survivors of human trafficking, prostitution, and addiction.

EmpowerHER provided an avenue for women to contribute, shop with purpose, and promote a sense of community, shared celebration, and empowerment. In just two days, over 1,000 items were donated to Jasmine Road. There were so many donations that the organization will be splitting and sharing the donations with other local organizations in need. All donations were gathered at our local partner locations, giving the community and easy and impactful way to come together.

Drive Change, Tee Off For Charity.

Get ready to swing into action, Greenville, because the BMW Charity Pro-Am is back, and this time, your ticket to the greens could be just a shopping trip away! Surcee is thrilled to announce our exclusive ticket giveaway, where shopping local not only wins you a chance to experience golfing greatness but also fuels support for vital Greenville charities.

Why it’s important: The BMW Charity Pro-Am isn’t just about golf; it’s about driving positive change in our community. By supporting local charities such as Spartanburg Friends of Reedy River, Mobile Meals of Spartanburg, the Local Hispanic Alliance, PAL, and Upstate Warrior Solution, this event has a direct and significant impact right here in our region. Your participation isn’t just about attending a golf tournament; it’s about making a tangible difference in the lives of our neighbors and friends.

Community impact: Our community thrives when we come together to support one another. By incentivizing local shopping as a means of entry, we’re not only driving sales to our Surcee stores but also keeping vital funds circulating within our local economy. Every receipt you show us represents another contribution to the well-being of Greenville, ensuring that our city remains vibrant, resilient, and compassionate.
